Barbering is not an independent course since the Ontario authorities do not treat barbering as a recognized profession. Therefore, it is incorporated in the Hairstyling program. Successful completion of the course guarantees licensure as a hairstylist. This is a widely recognized career that allows you to obtain different job positions equally, either as a barber or hairstylist. The Barbering module is part of the Hairstyling program, where you will study the usage of clippers and scissors. Over time, you will be conversant with different male cuts and facial grooming, such as fades and beards. Other areas you will study include moustache shaping, cleaning hairlines, and other basic male hair and facial grooming.
