Barbering is not offered as an independent program because it is not acknowledged by the Ontario government as a standalone licenced trade. Modern College Of Hairstyling & Esthetics Sudbury Campus offers the subject in its Hairstyling programs. This way, you can become a licenced full spectrum hairstylist, allowing you to work as both a barber and hairstylist. Hair Clippers and Shears course, in phase III, will touch base on the following hair cutting techniques. This will include men’s cuts and beard trimming. Hairstyling course includes barbering training, such as learning to use clippers and scissors to perform a variety of men's cuts and facial grooming. Essential fundamentals training will include fading, beard and moustache shaping, hairline cleaning, and other basic men's grooming procedures. Our College offers a comprehensive hands-on learning experience. We provide all the linens and supplies required for your program. The College's training philosophy is built on active participation in your learning. This active participation is cultivated through simulated clinic activities, which gives students real-world experiences in a salon and spa setting. This learning model ensures that students successfully enter the workforce.
