Paraphrased Schreiter's Story Schreiter’s began with the opening of its first location in 1892. Our range of high-quality furniture, textiles, and accessories added a touch of the unexpected to the design of homes and workplaces. Alvin George (A.G.), Schreiter's father, was born on July 26, 1859, in Hochkirch, Sachsen, Germany. He chose to relocate to Canada in 1882, and therefore started an extended career in the furniture manufacturing industry. Over the course of his career, A.G. Schreiter worked as an upholsterer, foreman, and furniture production worker. After some years, he transitioned to retail and opened Schreiter's Furniture, the most popular furniture store in Southwestern Ontario. A.G. Schreiter is famous for saying, "It's worth doing anything at all." And this conviction still drives our choices today, especially our Customer Service philosophy to exceed Customer expectations. Schreiter’s owners are still family members in the fifth generation now. We have since moved to Mid-Town Kitchener, where we have a beautiful, well-lit showroom located at 482 Belmont Ave. W., which covers 35,000 square feet, and is a single level. This evolution was made possible by more than 100 international vendors. These vendors were selected to enrich our collection of modern furniture with quality and aesthetic products. Our in-house staff design and design boutique services offer a complete range for any commercial or residential space now.

There are occasional delays in the delivery of products. However, this shortfall has been well handled by the management to curb discontent. This orientates the clients to give feedback on their experiences and any subsequent changes they need as they build their spaces. The management has a strong customer care policy, which sees the constant communication between the company and the new homeowners in their space-building journey.
