Guardians are welcome in the first four classes but are not required. Participation is defined as getting wet and interacting with the child and the Instructor to build a relationship. It is not a Parent and Tot class where the guardian is assisting in the lesson. This is quality time that is for you and your child to have fun and learn as well as socialize. Through structured in-water interaction between parent and child, we stress the importance of play in developing water-positive attitudes and skills. Activities and progressions are based on child development, and parents sign up in the appropriate age grouping. This is a 30-minute class, and the ratio is 1:12.
