At Awesome Dogs, we practice humane and constructive training that will turn your family pet into an adored companion. Our dog professionals have over two decades of experience and learning, so there's no dog we can't help. Yvette van Veen (PCT-A) is the driving force behind Awesome Dogs. Yvette was a Londoner and Toronto Star columnist as well as an award-winning pet writer. She believes she wanted to train animals for as long as she can remember. Guidance counselors didn't know what to tell Yvette when she was young since animal behavior wasn't then a top job choice. However, that all changed when a London Humane Society rescue dog came into her life, and she found a career that made her excited.

Yvette and her Awesome Dogs training have helped many pup owners navigate various obstacles!\nThere are commendations from owners who receive coaching on behavioural issues affecting their dogs. A dog owner reviewed Yvette at Awesome Dogs. Over four years ago, her large breed bully mix became reactive and overstimulated. Within five private lessons, his reactivity significantly improved. Pet owners also receive coaching to help them learn how to manage their pets’ reactivity and anxiety. Role-playing can help the pets adjust to various scenarios more quickly by using motivational games. Balancing reinforces ‘against’ them to increase the dog's presence of mind of the reactivity levels. The high reactivity levels usually have high thresholds too. High thresholds are healthy for dogs as they can quickly adapt to their environments. But these have to be controlled to make the dog function healthily in its environments. The Awesome Dogs also workout counterconditioning procedures worked to reduce the dog's reactivity. The dog became confident, and its behaviours changed. The private lessons were manager- the dog owners also benefit from the same service to reduce their stress and anxieties. I fully support her because without Yvette, my dog would presumably be dead or someone else's problem right now! I still recall how panicked I was when she started telling me about the thresholds and how I was handling her by keeping her activation lower. The dog was going to the bathroom in the house because of the dog’s anxiety towards new situations and safety of the house. My reaction also was part of the dog's anxiety.\nThe owners get regular hands-on dog training, and also, the dogs are attended meticulously. The dog treats are not a recipe for the dog to perform but just tools to help the desensity react. .04122022
