At CrossFit Bytown, we believe in community, self-improvement, and exercise. We aim to offer a safe place for people to better their physical and mental health. We prioritize self-improvement over everything else. This includes all aspects of our physical and mental selves, as well as our emotional and spiritual selves. Our goal is to learn and improve every day, seeking out wins and progress. We don’t believe in progression, only evolution. We evolve as individuals, coaches, and gym members. Bytown CrossFit has numerous reviews that offer consistent recommendations. The gym prides itself on a welcoming atmosphere, and members and drop-ins from a variety of locations expressed how comfortable they felt. The coaching staff, particularly Everett Sloan, is often praised for being both friendly and knowledgeable. They make classes suitable for all fitness levels, which in the words of long-time member Rob, creates a supportive and fun atmosphere where everyone can benefit from the CrossFit gym. Gym members are truly a community. The spacious gym has enthusiastic classes with plenty of equipment and members supporting one another. Everyone is very professional. Preventive measures are still in place, including masks, spacing, and cleaning equipment. It is a familiar gym atmosphere even if you are only visiting Ottawa. Bytown CrossFit is not recommended if you want a leisurely experience, but they give workouts that are beneficial for any fitness level you are and truly focus on health with high intensity.
