Pierre Richard founded our business in his garage. He overheard a group of friends in a cafe lamenting the disappearance of a local roaster who made exceptional coffee. Pierre was inspired. He loved traditional gourmet roasting and brewing techniques. He began sharing his love of specialty coffee with Ottawans when he roasted and sold it on demand to a few customers. They created the company with the current owner being Henry Assad. Our mission is to create a space for everyone – customers and staff – that is inclusive and progressive. It doesn’t matter what your gender, race or religion is. We foster mutual respect and inclusivity. We support initiatives from charities, local artists and musicians to LGBTQ+ organizations.
