Maplewood Retirement Community is proud to call one of Ottawa’s most historic neighborhoods home. Refusing to sacrifice its proximity to the breathtaking outdoors and local amenities of Ottawa, our campuses’ welcoming atmosphere and well-kept grounds are a delight for residents and guests. In this personal care assisted living lifestyle, residential care is included. Residents receive more physical support with daily activities, such as washing, dressing, and grooming during both morning and night.

Residents, families and staff praise the welcoming environment of Maplewood, calling it "home." One family cites the exceptional care and joy their mother has experienced at the home, with staff who go out of their way to show respect and gratitude. The challenging environment during coronavirus is particularly resonant among parents, and there is a lot of support and teamwork. Residents and reviewers speak to the friendly atmosphere and the open activities enjoyed by all family members. There is also a common theme of support and management, as stated in the reviews of happy workers. Reasonable feedback provided notes on the residents' bathroom situation. According to the review, the facility does not offer properly designed toilets suitable for seniors. The bathrooms are not suitably arranged for physically disabled or mobility-challenged persons, according to the reviewers. The data shows a majority of such complaints. Aside from the bathroom complaints, the study mostly discusses simple oversights. Allen then mentions plans to renovate the bathrooms into suites and ensure that they are available to all residents soon and avoid future similar complaints. This study focuses on responses that the facility has obstructing the bathroom access to the residents in wheelchairs and assures customers that they considered these problems and shall soon address them. Moreover, another significant promise the facility gives to the survey feedback is to ensure timely renovation and improved quality in all bathrooms.
