We contracted Shady Lane Tree Experts to install bracing and cabling on one of the major lower limbs that had started to split away from the main trunk of a large Norway maple in our yard. They would also prune any deadwood and branches that were rubbing together that could become an issue later on. They also raised the elevation of the canopy by approximately three to four feet throughout the entire crown to improve sightlines and clearance.
The crew arrived on-site at eight o’clock sharp, and after a brief discussion as to what we wanted and expected, they immediately began and didn’t stop until the job was done, about five and a half hours later.

They were professional, personable, and made certain that the work was precisely what was needed. Our only concern was that some of the trees they were working on were growing into our yard. While Aiden pruned them, he asked our opinions and double-checked what was needed. Our neighbour also required some of the tree branches, and Aiden communicated with them, discussed what was needed for their tree, and then cleaned up the mess. They scrubbed down the Japanese maple, shaped and pruned it to our satisfaction, and even gave us advice to help it grow stronger and fuller. The front and backyard look perfect now. We were very pleased with the work and have already recommended Shady Lane to a few neighbours. We will definitely be using Shady Lane again. The crew of Arborists from Shady Lane did a very thorough and knowledgeable job of pruning a mature tree (which was interfering with electrical wires of 2 houses) and pruning branches, which were too close to the house and maintaining the health of the tree. They also pruned a hedge of tall white cedars which were very difficult to get to. The team of arborists, after 2 hours work, left my place free of all the leaves and debris.
