About 4 years ago, I needed a bigger space for teaching so my students could have room to sit and wait. I found my first studio at Windsor Crossing Premium Outlets and it was amazing! We loved the atmosphere. Two months later, I had to move to another location because they were redeveloping the area. I moved to a place in the middle of nowhere. It was an old building and it was ugly. The strip mall wasn’t clean, the parking was limited, and I could hear my neighbor pounding on the floor when we made too much noise. I really missed Windsor Crossing. But the good thing was that it was very cheap so I could lower my fees and offer more discounts. Many of my students’ parents loved that they were saving money. I had been wanting to start group music lessons for a long time. At my new location, I had the room that I needed. I was able to hold group lessons. It was a lot of fun and the students loved it. The new location was really quiet and because we were the only business in the strip mall, we could be ourselves and play music as loud as we wanted. It was a lot of fun but I got very lonely. There was no one to talk to and nothing to do during my breaks. I put my heart and soul into that location. I put up my own money to buy furniture and decor. I had planned on staying at that location for a long time, so I wanted it to be nice. I knew that my location wasn’t great, but I thought it would just take more time to grow my business.
