Ontario Educational Leadership Centre

OELC empowers and inspires students to become leaders and motivate and influence change in their communities and the world. We offer leadership programs in various disciplines, such as sports, arts, student governance, and global issues. We focus on specific leadership qualities and competencies that young people will need to lead effectively in high school and beyond. These programs support student leadership development by teaching communication, problem solving, collaboration, and team development, organizational, and creative solution-making skills. The OELC community values responsibility, inclusion, and global awareness.

Reviews for the summer camp are overwhelmingly positive. Campers appreciate the vibrant and inspiring atmosphere, along with the friendly community. Food is ample and diverse enough to ensure that complaints about hunger are rare. Many reviews claim it's a life-altering experience, helping youngsters find their latent potential. Most campers are eager to return, while some adult reviewers lavish praise as they found the camp enriched their children's lives after three consecutive summers. There are repeated mentions of the tremendous new friends as a lasting connection of the camp. Some reviews say they miss past campers and regret losing the fantastic relationships they formed. Though the smallest number of reviews are negative, the critics accept that the camp doesn't have AC, something that may be less than ideal for people who do not have a habit of it. A few reviews also say the bunks are small. Few campers disagree with these criticisms. The camp is exceptional and they wish they could go back.
