Pointe St Charles Art School in Montreal is a Fine Art School that is community driven. It also has an Art Therapy Centre where people of all ages and backgrounds can learn to express themselves through art. The Pointe-Saint-Charles Art School lies on the unceded Indigenous Territory of the Kanien’keha: ka. Tiohtiahke/Montreal was a place of meeting for many First Nations and is now home to a variety of Indigenous peoples and others. This land has been home to gathering and creation for many thousands of years. Small is Beautiful Our small art school has a big aspiration: to make art more accessible. Everyone can enjoy art. Art isn't a secret formula or an exclusive practice. We invite everyone who is aching to draw, paint, or sculpt to our school. Teachers at our school not only guide the students in developing their creative and individual self-expression, but they also teach them techniques. Our doors opened in Pointe four years ago, and we are delighted to now be part of Batiment 7, a dynamic community organization that allows us to further our charitable goals and take on this new, bold venture. We want to build on our successes so far and take on new challenges such as art therapy programs and subsidized art classes for children and adults.
