Tremblay’s expertise in Canadian visual art developed over time. He was chairman and auctioneer of the Hotel des Ventes Universelles for many years, the ancestor of the Cosner Auction. The first auctions were in the Capitole de Quebec and then in Montreal at the Ritz-Carlton. For many years, the auctions were held in the ballrooms of the Windsor Hotel in Montreal.
