BBAM! Gallery is an establishment of 2012, situated in Montreal's Sud-Ouest, an arts district downtown. BBAM! presents a comprehensive annual program that emphasizes individual exhibitions, musical performances, and art. BBAM! The BBAM! gallery is a 21st-century art gallery. This modern concept, focusing on mid-career and emergent figurative and conceptual artists, was co-founded by Alison Rogers & Ralph Alfonso. The interplay of fine arts and the alternative, Rogers and Alfonso explore cultural identity through punk rock movements & new mystiques. This gallery space, with a mission to promote socially-themed works that emphasize underrepresented voices including women artists and the LGBTQ community, closes the gap between visual language and cultural connection.

Their art collections and music are diverse and store a lot of vintage albums and records. Every visitor’s experience in BBAM has been utterly captivating from their cultural, interpersonal, intellectual, and spiritual aspects since the owners are warm and welcoming. The customers have talked highly of the gallery’s staff and the owners' welcoming attitude that is always welcoming and smiling. There is also a personal touch - the owners - Ralph and Alice - always talk leisurely to every visitor and can be seen many times in the records store section consulting customers. There is a big motivation to be a regular customer since the staff and owners are friends that your visit is part of the transformation happening in the community. One happy visitor mentioned that when they first entered the store, they were amazed by the warm welcoming from everyone, starting from the owners to the other customers. The shop as seen from outside does not match the warmth found inside the store, it is a small shop in the city’s old downtown but every day the store has new stock and playing beautiful music. The diversity on off includes CDs, DVDs, and LPs, with well-organized and vintage records that make the customers feel like they are in an art gallery more than a music store. One happy past client noted that they used to take a regular LP stock since the prices are very attractive and that the availability from the owner’s personal collection, that has a lot of photos and other memories from back in the day makes this store unique. Another regular visitor in the store said that he felt like the store was his second house and when they went missing for a long time, the store started asking their friend who had introduced them to the store what had happened to him and if he was doing fine since they're a family business. However, the music, the kind of music they play is different from what they do, and the Jazz music he heard at one of the stores' music listening session was different and better from what he has heard of jazz in other businesses. Everyone is accommodated here and just recently when one of the children of the customers lost his little plush toy and did not know how to ask for it back, a playful move by one of the owners who had seen the little girl crying and got to talk to them and gifted back the toy to the girl; the little girl and her parents were happy. The store is a good place to hang and listen to the music as heard from one of the remarks in the store’s guest book and another person saying that when they had made use of the store’s free Wi-Fi if they are far from the store and that they were back soon looking for a music cassette. One of the regular visitor and frequent buyers told me that even if you can be able to buy music from many other stores around the city, nothing beats the ambient of BBAM.
