Fondation filles d’action

Organization Background Founded in 1995 as an initiative by three spirited entrepreneurial fresh graduates, Fondation filles d’action was created without any financial support or limitations. POWER Camp, as it was known, became a platform for girls coming from harsh backgrounds. This girl’s initiative enabled them to discover their power, learn to drive positive change in their lives, and thrive in their communities. Our initial achievements included the power of girls’ voices; sustainable development and fundraising resulted from our success formula, which included learning from the girls. Facilitated by accomplished girls, understanding of media, body image, gender inequality, and violence prevention made the girls step out of their shell and engage. Girls Action Expansion Communities all over the country soon contacted us. We decided to invite young women from these communities to make a difference in every girl's life. National collaboration on the project was necessary when we realized that many more individuals were ready to help girls. The foundation of Girls Action to develop a network of girl's initiatives across the country and prioritize their best interests was thus laid. Goal Fondation filles d’action aims to help young girls and women in leadership development and give them the support they need to succeed by providing mentoring, learning resources, and new skills.
