Alannah is a Certified Life Coach and Clinician with close to 20 years of expertise with families and individuals. She is a compassionate and cooperative counsellor and healer who is creative and integrative in her approach. She uses a collaborative, gentle, and inclusive approach to trauma counselling. Her practise will help her cope with her own addictions and mental health conditions, so she understands the need for trauma healing and is capable of calming and healing an overactive nervous system. She uses distress tolerance and mindfulness techniques and somatic-based practices with a trauma-informed and culturally-inclusive viewpoint for clients. Alannah has spent many years working with young individuals, coaching and volunteering. - She has also spent time caring for nursing home and daycare residents. Alannah is compassionate, empathetic, and supportive and seeks to build trust and connectedness while providing insight and skills to clients. She strives to create a safe space for clients to explore recovery while also promoting preventive thinking overreactive solutions.
