Bright Side Play Therapy

My name is Rhonda Stimpson, and I am the sole proprietor of Bright Side Play Therapy. As a Registered Social Worker, I have a Bachelor of Social Work and a Certificate of Foundations of Play Therapy from Rocky Mountain Play Therapy Institute. I gained accreditation in Using a Sandtray In Play Therapy, Safe and Sound Protocol, and Early Childhood Development Diploma. The Canadian Association of Play Therapy is also present in my life. Every child, every family deserves help. The eyes of children help us see life’s complexity. Play therapy lets kids establish trusting relationships with therapists. Also, they can express themselves and enjoy exploring their feelings and thoughts. Play Therapy is a therapeutic strategy and requires specific certification through the Canadian Association of Play Therapy. Therapeutic Play, play-based techniques, and other similar terms are not Play Therapy. The therapist can accommodate children as young as 3 and up to 12 years old.
