Reliable My professional journey began with the completion of my Bachelor of Medical Rehabilitation (Occupational Therapist) at the University of Manitoba in 2001. My first 11 post-graduate years were spent solely in Occupational Therapy in private practice, as well as at a large industrial rehabilitation center, which is insurance-based. My personal path changed with my children’s development and arrival. My clinical focus shifted to child health and well-being. I want to help kids reach their developmental milestones and better the lives of others. I made a big jump from the industrial rehabilitation world, focusing on adults with injuries, to the magical universe of children. My daily life experience with three small children and a chaotic household has taught me that it requires constant course corrections. You have to speed it up or slow it down. You have to know when to act. My clinical practice requires the same skills. I can move seamlessly from being a high-energy motivator to a low-key caregiver, depending on the situation. I primarily work with families and children with mental illness. I am an expert in early childhood trauma.
