Funky Artsmiths In September 2004, I moved to Saskatoon from the UK with my family. Saskatoon has been my home since we arrived in town, even after it was so far out the city's frontier past what is now Blairmore and Kensington. Everyone I met welcomed and inspired me, and in this city, I was able to explore my creativity for the first time not knowing anyone else. It has been a challenge to match the talent of my father and uncle, who are amazing artists. I remember sitting in high school art class, comparing my drawings to those of the other students. However, many years later, I stopped discussing art and packed up my supplies. I am so happy that my early art experiences have led me to my present vocation. I believe that every piece of artwork is beautiful, and it is my responsibility to nourish and develop the student's artistic potential in each individual. Draft started Before Funky Artsmiths, I volunteered at a local school, teaching art classes to children from grades 2 to 6. My vision was to teach the teachers my techniques and concepts, so they could confidently instruct art after I left.
