About this business

Welcome to Copper Star Coffee! Melrose District's first locally-roasted coffee with a cup of freshly baked pastry every day. You can also have a hot cup of tea, a smoothie, an order of breakfast, or a sandwich for lunch. Our drive-through is perfect for those in a hurry, those who want to meet friends, or those who want to take a quick break from working at home. Visit us today! We're located at W Heatherbrae Dr. & N 7th Ave. Bill Sandweg and Ginger Sandweg gave Melrose District great coffee in 2006. There was no coffee they liked between Bill's house and Phoenix College, where he was taking Creative Writing courses. Copper Star Coffee lives by the spirit "I will do it myself." We have baked our pastries since Day 1, something no corporate coffee can say. Our team started with our chai when we couldn't find any we liked. Our House-made Lavender Syrup won Phoenix's Best Herbal Latte. A disgruntled supplier led us to start making our hummus. Bill made his BLT when he couldn't get one he liked. We sell about 150 pounds of bacon every week. We started making our bagels in 2019, learning our bagel vendor sold his business. We began selling Central Phoenix’s Best Bagel three months later. Our bakery averages 212 bagels a day.

Reviews Summary

Copper Star Coffee Shop and Eatery in Phoenix, AZ, is a recurring favorite in multiple reviews. Guests enjoy the friendly service and the atmosphere of the shop. Penny, who drinks iced pumpkin spice lattes and scones, mentioned that the coffee shop is a perfect place to linger and take in the moment. All sorts of espresso drinks, baked goods, and bagels are available, and nothing compares to the fresh bagels. The most frequent drinkers and eaters mentioned the sundried tomato bagel sandwiches, one of the most advanced skewers. Both delicious and suggested. Another suggestion was the richness of the pesto cream cheese, which could be paired with this bagel. In addition to the atmosphere, guests recommend the fast and quick drive-through service and a variety of options, which means that the staff is doing a great job. Sometimes customers make a hasty decision to return – lots of reviews mention one customer two days in a row. Still, the food choice is so wide that customers keep coming even when they forget to do so at that moment. People who don't initially enjoy the fast customer service are happy and willing to return whenever they want. Because the mixture of delicacies, bagels, and powerful beans was so correct. Even though they were in Phoenix, they wanted to see what else was in town.
