Grey Matter Family Bicycle Shop is a charitable non-profit bike shop that donates a portion of its profits to Barrow Neurological Institute for brain tumor research. GMF sells new and used parts and bikes, as well as full-service repair. Our shop pedals together to cure! Founder and brain cancer battler Kyle Claffey started Grey Matter Family Bicycle Shop in 2014. At the time, Kyle Claffey donated a check to RAMM (Race Across America) to Barrow Neurological Institute, a clinic that conducts research on brain tumors. He was inspired to set up a charity bike shop due to his love of bikes. In April 2014, Kyle tragically passed away, months before the store opened. We know he would be proud of the shop's progress, success, and vision even though he could not open the store. GMF Bicycle Shop also finances brain tumor research at Barrow Neurological Institute and is a non-profit. Our shop has new and used parts and bikes and offers full-service repairs. GMF also offers cruiser rentals. "Pedaling is the best way to cure a disease."
