ABOUT   Services Excellence Summary

ET Rivera founded Tres Leches Cafe in Fall 2014. Tres Leches Cafe is a cultural experience, complemented by a wide selection of artisanal lattes. 3LC is a Mexican Gourmet coffee shop and the first of its kind in Arizona. ET made his recipes himself and took pride in his cultural background and his ancestors' Mexican roots. The small coffee cart was the beginning of the owner's journey. It was initially parked on the porch, where the owner operated for two months. Scott's Generation, a friend's restaurant, was the next stop for this young cafe. Phoenix New Times published the first article about the cafe during this final move. "The Mexican Starbucks of your dream" was how the cafe was characterized. The young cafe lasted a year in their friends' restaurant before moving into "The Casita," their first space, which was where they operated for two years. The current location was established in Fall 2018, giving the cafe a permanent location to express the owner's life's work. Tres Leches Cafe and the community are intertwined in various ways. Our latest events, for example, include the hosting of Mi Familia Vota's Climate Change event and Congressman Ruben Galego supporting Mark Kelly's candidacy for U.S. Senate. We also arrange Latino Democratic Leadership and Organizers Meetup (LDLOM) events, which are local and national. Providing weekly vendor opportunities for Hispanic/Latinx/Chicanx independent/small businesses to showcase their goods/wares helps support our local business community. Aside from Pan y Cafe, we also offer our space for free to local 501c3 non-profits and programs.

SUMMARY   Reviews Summary

Customer feedback on a Phoenix Mexican-themed coffee shop is largely positive. The atmosphere and staff are well reviewed, as are the ambiance. Many customers note that they are greeted warmly and appreciate the beverage selection. That said, there are a few concerns about the coffee shop. Two customers received partially empty drinks, seemingly because they requested no ice. They worried that their orders are being tampered with. One customer also mentioned a pastry that was unusually dry. Combining all of the information, however, suggests that these issues are rare occurrences rather than standard practices. Most customer comments are positive, from praising the menu to the overall experience.
