About this business

Over twenty years of pursuing the healing arts, Scott Stone, CMT, understood that this was his path. He began his journey with Tai Chi (an ancient Chinese martial art with many health benefits), training in the early 2000s. Scott next tried western physical therapy and other Eastern modalities to see what worked and what didn’t. He began formal massage training at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in 2009. In 2011, he completed the Massage Therapist Program, achieving over 1000 hours. Scott also got his certification as a Massage Therapist with Asian Modalities. He's now working on a master's degree in acupuncture. Through this process, I have learned how to apply my extensive training to help chronically ill people feel better, improve their health, and lead happier lives. Most of my clients have fibromyalgia, chronic myofascial pain, and other pain-related issues. I use structural reintegration, a technique based on the idea that the body can heal itself if given the right environment. We are bombarded by stressors in the outside world, such as poor posture, incorrect breathing, poor ergonomics, and poor choice of shoes and clothing. The body adapt to these stressors in different ways, but they all result in pain and poor functioning. To answer this, the massage therapist must work with the patient's internal and external environment. The therapist works with the patient to create a treatment plan that works for that particular person. Effective bodywork does not have to be painful. Pain is a way of telling the body that something is wrong, and while it may be necessary for some treatment plans, it should not be a standard. You owe yourself a chance to see if I can help you.
