The Corey Helford Gallery (CHG) was founded by Jan Corey Helford in 2006. Her husband, Bruce Helford, is a television producer and creator (The Connors, Anger Management, The Drew Carey Show, George Lopez). Major galleries of contemporary art have grown to become one of the most influential, and the institution aims to support both emerging and well-known artists by promoting their work and producing exhibitions and events. CHG is composed of a varied group of international artists who live and work all over the world. Influenced by contemporary pop culture, particularly in America today, they have been heavily influenced by style genres such as Neo Pop, Neo Pop Graffiti, Street Art, and Graffiti. The gallery has also appeared in top art fairs like SCOPE Miami Beach and SCOPE New York. CHG collaborated in 2010 with Bristol's City Museum & Art Gallery, creating the transatlantic collaborative "Art From The New World," a museum exhibition that featured work by an elite group of American artists. CHG left its 9-year Culver City home and moved to 12,000 square feet in December 2015. The renovated industrial complex is in downtown Los Angeles, and CHG holds exhibitions throughout the year. You will find three galleries in the current space, one for individual artists and two for group shows. The main gallery is 4,500 square feet, entirely immersive for its visitors. Every six weeks, there is a new show.
