Customer feedback summary: 1. My daughter's orthodontist retired and was transferred to this office. Met the staff recently for a new order of retainer. They were friendly and knowledgeable. 2. I transferred orthodontist and came in to get a free consultation for retainers. Before the visit, you get reminders through text about your upcoming appointment. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. During the consultation, they did a scan of my teeth and did a thorough examination. Dr. Roxas explained all the questions I had and was very patient. Highly recommend coming here for any teeth aligning or orthodontic concerns! 3. I started orthodontics with Dr. David Shen about 6 months ago. The Invisalign works much better than bracings, more precise and less pain, easier to clean. Some real experience hope to share for people like me as reference. Price: My general dentist recommended a different orthodontic clinics for me at the beginning, however, even the bracing option is very high pricing, if you search orthodontics price in San Jose area, they gave me that highest price number. I have to ask the dentist again and chatted a little more, then I finally got the name of Orthoworks. Dr. David Shen is very experienced in invisalign which not every doctor can do, he gave me a lower and much better price. I suggest you have a first appointment with Dr. David Shen and have a talk, I was not suggested to list the price number, but Orthoworks does not try to squeeze money from the patient, but offer reasonable price while make the best staged design. In price wise with skill insurance, I recommend my fellows try Orthoworks. Orthodontic progress: Honestly, only the beginning couple of appointments look like with a little more time to book, since it takes Dr.'s design and manufacturing lab's waiting time. Once receiving the first set of aligner, appointments are smooth. I will start post pictures of my teeth in the following review. My teeth situation is not great, with root cannels and fillings. One tooth was totally dead. Dr. David Shen recommended me to take off the dead teeth with root cannels, although those teeth are not in symmetric locations, making my case as more challenging orthodontics work. If following teeth extraction in routine locations, which was the plan from my last more pricing clinic, the orthodontics work will be easier, but Dr. David Shen told me his honest thinking that it benefit me in long term to extract the unhealthy teeth, although it becomes more challenging work, he will design and give me the best results. My big wish is to push teeth pointing outward to be straight up and inward, the more expensive clinic told they can only do max 3mm difference, however, Dr. David Shen told me pushing 4mm will be the plan because invisalign can do a better job. Dr. David Shen checks and pays attention to details on how many hours every day I wear the aligner, and told me tricks that wearing the aligner while eating is actually better for the results since biting pushes the aligner fit better. But we should clean and floss after every meal. Today I had an appointment with Dr David Shen, he pay attention to stage's teeth movement and deformation direction. I find so far the progress is as his plan and will honestly recommend people to consult Dr David Shen if you hope to get the orthodontic treatment. Right now after three months wearing, my front tooth extraction space has fully closed up and crooked tooth straighten a lot. I will post progress pictures, cons and props in my following review as my plan goes. So far I think my progress is good. Each time, we’ve had to wait 4–6 weeks for the new sets to be ready, and during that period, my son has had to reuse the old ones. This has caused a significant delay in his treatment. 10. Their billed us incorrectly and their billing department never returns the phone calls or responds to the email. 12. It was very clear that they were all professionals who knew what they were doing, but they were also very nice people who actually cared about my treatment and my teeth. They were more on time 2 years ago but have gotten consistently worse over time. Perhaps they have more inexperienced assistants now and they try to overschedule too many patients. 15.
