12. Our poor kitten was maimed by having its ear tip excised. The doctor knew it was a household pet. She had seen it in her office twice before. They say my mother requested the operation. The poor kitten had about 3/4 inch or more of its ear cut off. The doctor admitted they were concerned about it but they failed to call and ask before maiming the poor animal this way. He even asked me if my mother had worked with pigs because apparently, pigs get their ears cut in this manner. YEAH RIGHT, MY MOM USED TO BE A PIG FARMER AND DECIDED TO HAVE HER BEAUTIFUL KITTEN MARKED LIKE A PIG. We are utterly heartbroken, not that the kitty won't be okay, but at the incompetence and lack of follow-through on a situation that they were worried about from the start.
