Awaken Cafe & Roasting is Oakland's downtown venue established in 2008, and it functions as a coffee house, espresso bar, exceptional coffee equipment seller, restaurant, brew & wine bar, and event space. Our mission is to unite all people in downtown Oakland and ignite Oakland's following chapter and that of the planet. After all, why not drink #goodcoffee? Oakland-downtown offers an espresso bar and coffee maker who also roasts espresso, food, and drinks, activities, craft beer/wine. We no longer need indoor dining vaccination. Please schedule a covid vaccination and booster if you can, to guarantee your health and the wellbeing of those around you. Masks are advised when ordering, walking around, or not eating/drinking but are no longer necessary. We accept walk-ins and online orders for local pick-up ($7.99) and delivery (US) and ship to all 50 countries. We honor the required social distancing in our outdoor area. Our staff is completely vaccinated. We wear masks, regularly wash our hands and enforce a rigorous sanitization policy for all cafe items for your health and safety.

Awaken Cafe, located downtown, is an exceptional craft coffee shop with a variety of excellent avocado toasts. Customers rave about the coffee, ambiance, and service, as well as the vast array of options available for dine-in or carryout. In contrast to several Portland establishments, this place stands out for its coffee that exceeds expectations. Also has a good variety of seating, decor is contemporary yet friendly, food same regardless of dietary requirements and free Wi-Fi. The place gives off a very appealing hometown feel, staff is great, and the whole setup is stellar. Tasty avocado toast, oat milk and a delicious lavender latte are among the recommendations. However, note that there is no Wi-Fi after late afternoon, and the pastries are likely sold out.
