This realization led our founders Brooke & Helen to start roasting and selling coffee from their garage in Marin County, California. Better roasted, brewed, and sourced coffee would be the vision they would move towards. It was in that garage that Equator Coffees was born- the start of an impactful company rooted in sustainability, quality, and social responsibility.
We have made a difference, but the principles we held then are still here today. Equator is the name of the coffee-growing region, but it's more than that. What links us all is the path that circles the globe. We want to improve everything we touch as we navigate that path from coffee beans to the sip. When we do that, we believe that everyone who drinks our coffee will contribute to something better.
