Adan had the opportunity to practice under his father, Jesus Romo, from the age of 10. After attending the University of California at Berkeley, he acquired a BA in Art History and specialized in Renaissance sculpture. In 2001, Adan gained the Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar award, enabling him to head to Italy and join the Academy of Art, Rome. During this time, Adan worked under Mirio Viani, a noted marble sculptor with a background of working with masters such as Henry Moore and Mitoraj. Adan then joined the San Francisco Art Institute and concentrated on artistically transforming materials in sculpture and installation art. He has worked on various prestige projects, including sculptures for churches, installations for city hall, and veteran memorials. He is the Chair of Visual Arts at St. Francis High School, where he instructs art history, digital film, and sculpture.
