We are located in San Jose's Evergreen Area and offer many Art Classes both for adults and children. We also provide interior design and Rangoli services for special occasions. Art classes are available for everyone, in all levels and with a wide range of materials and art forms. Take a look through our portfolio of student work to view some examples. Purvi Shah is the Picasso Art Studio's owner. She was raised in an Art-loving family. She was raised by her grandfather, an antiques collector. Her father loves photography and interior decorating. Purvi's mother also teaches interior design. Purvi's parents were open to her growing up and gave her exposure to design and art. M.S. in graphic design was her degree. She received her M.S. in Graphic Design from Vadodara University and was then accepted to the National Institute of Design Ahmedabad. Purvi moved to America in 2005 and studied interior design at West Valley College Saratoga. She was recently hired as an interior designer by Expo Design Center, where she spent five years. Purvi loves photography, interior decorating and art. Purvi is an artist and enjoys sharing her talents with the world.

Although I do have an arts degree and an art credential (as well as an art credential), I learned that teaching the basics of art to children does not require you to be an artist. You only need passion, direction, and a willingness to have some fun. My passion is making art lessons accessible to all children. I have created hundreds of great art lessons over the years. All ages are welcome to take part in our year-round fine art classes. You will learn to paint and draw at "MyArtIsMySoul Art Studio." This studio also helps you increase your creativity and confidence. The art made by children has a magical quality. It is full of personality, charm, and character. The secret benefit of creativity lies in openness. The freedom of art gives children the ability to choose from many options, encouraging creativity and critical thinking. It also helps develop skills in analysis, problem-solving, and reflection, which are the same thinking processes that today's innovators and great thinkers use.

David Hollen is a native of northeast Wisconsin. He studied art at Minnesota's Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Frank Theobald, his wife, lives in Los Angeles' Arts District and has his own sculpture studio. David is a sculptor who works with a variety of materials, including steel, stainless cable, and porcelain castings. David designed and built artwork for theatre groups and commercial establishments. His work can also be found in private collections. His art has been displayed at many Art Galleries and Museums throughout Southern California. To create a psychologically shared landscape, my sculpture is based on an architectural process. By combining materials in grid-like structures I am able to mark the connection between the natural world (or 'house') we live in and our more sublime senses of home, which seek to combine into an even greater sublime gestalt. I am often asked questions like: How does an almost-military steel grid become softened into protection when adorned with scores of porcelain-cast, hard thorns. How can something so simple as a length of steel cable be used to support the formation of cells? These questions can be answered through my research. Because of their universal nature, I have found common materials like hemp rope, steel wire and concrete reinforcement rods to be the best for conveying my message clearly. These everyday materials are combined with porcelain to create a variety of sculptures that ring with an ethereal, yet sturdy presence.

We also want to help the artists in the area by offering them the equipment and space they need. Yolin Art Studio specializes in ceramic mold-making and slip-casting. The studio has a storefront where you can buy ceramic art. We welcome you to come and see us! Also, we offer ceramic classes such as ceramic and pottery painting, wheel-throwing, hand build ceramic, clay & ceramic painting, casting & mold making, ceramic jewelry, etc. All of our teachers are professional artists who live in the Bay Area. The studio is a cozy and comfortable place for students to express their creativity. We will hold a celebration after all the classes for the students to display their art. Chungking Studio offers creative spaces for rent. It is located in Chinatown, just one mile away from Los Angeles City Hall. This bright space is high-end and features large windows that provide natural light. You can modify this colossal'softbox' with one-stop privacy/diffusion blinds, or you can completely block out the light with an automated curtain. The space, which is located on Chung King Road’s Gallery Row, makes a great spot for an event or pop-up gallery. It's quiet during the day but bustles with patrons at art openings. The property is located just 20 feet from the Hill Street exit of the 110 Fwy. There are also paid parking spaces available that can be loaded in a matter of minutes. Chungking Studio offers a private, comfortable space for filmmakers, photographers and creatives. It is conveniently located close to restaurants, shops and entertainment. The open architecture of the majority of the studios makes it such that your choices and actions may have a significant impact on your neighbors. Since 2000, I've lived in Southern California and made art there. Mexico, Spain and Portugal are some of the countries that I have exhibited internationally. Exhibiting frequently in West Hollywood and South Bend, Laguna Beach, San Diego Palm Desert, Savannah, Palm Desert, Savannah, as well as internationally. We look forward to future projects in Canada, Chicago and other countries. Jerome Gastaldi, a well-known and respected artist, mentored him for over ten years. His original art in Yard House and Bridges to Freedom are his most prominent works. Jason Veltz is my husband, a product designer. He also runs an active business. Our two sons, Jason Veltz and I have two children. We love adventure and creating with the outdoors. We are deeply connected to the Saint Mary's College, the University of Notre Dame and Savannah College of Art and Design and mentor students in their portfolio reviews. Third grade Explorer Elementary students were my collaborators this spring. The S.O.S. project was their inspiration. Their work from the S.O.S. was chosen to be displayed at HTH Summer Learning Institute. This annual event brings together educators, school leaders and community partners across the country to discover the school's practices and principles. The Expeditionary Learning website will host their work. Expeditionary Learning, a non-profit organization that is based on the East coast, works in partnership with schools to encourage project-based learning. The posters of PSAs from students are displayed at the San Diego County Fair's Creative Youth Tent. If you're going to the fair, make sure to stop by! Fischoff International Chamber Music Competition 2012 - I was the Visual Artist. I was able to show my artworks internationally thanks to this. In my drive to make a difference, I enjoy creating art with people to help them raise funds and find healing. In collaboration with Susan G. Komen Foundation for Children who lost a parent due to cancer, I've worked. I have provided art therapy training for counselors in rehabilitation clinics and for the Wounded Warrior Project.

Real Time & Space, founded by Emma Spertus & Mark Taylor in March 2011, is a creative space for artists. Emma and Mark leased a 5,500 square foot warehouse located in Oakalnd’s Chinatown for a period of five years. They converted the space from a print shop into an art studio with woodshop and a common area. Real Time and Space immediately began a residency program, dedicating one studio to a permanent residence studio, recognizing the space surplus and affordable rent. RTS is committed to sustaining established and emerging interdisciplinary artists through affordable studios and shared facilities. We also believe in creating a tight-knit, supportive community. RTS's artist members, as well as the guest artists that participate in Real Time Residency, our residency program, speaker series and performance programming, leave a lasting impression on the Bay Area arts scene. Williams' studio has operated out of RTS since 2008. Williams was able to rent a RTS studio in 2013 from a friend after completing graduate school. The space became permanent. Williams was able to find a home at RTS, a space for community that helped her through the transition after grad school. Williams' studio focuses on ceramics and painting, but she also works with the RTS collaborative Bonanza. Bonanza also includes Conrad Guevara and Lindsay Tully, another RTS-member. Bonanza is a multi-disciplinary artist who works in fashion, film, painting, sculpture and performance.

FAVIANNA RODRIGUEZ GIANNNONI, a multidisciplinary artist, cultural strategist, and entrepreneur based out of Oakland, California, is a cultural strategist. Her work and activism address issues such as migration, gender equity, climate change and sexual liberation. Her art focuses on joy and healing while challenging ingrained myths and dominant cultural practices. Favianna's partnerships with companies include Ben & Jerry's and Spotify. She also has a partnership with Old Navy. She completed large-scale public art commissions for the City of San Francisco, and Presidio National Park. She has touched audiences all over the globe with her powerful speeches. These include the United Nations Climate Summit and Sundance Film Festival. Favianna’s artistic practice is a reflection of the experiences she has had as a woman who embraces pleasure, womb healing and transformation through her creative expression. She is a Latina artist of first generation with Afro-Latinx ancestry who was raised in Oakland, California at the time of Hip Hop's birth and during the drug war. Shorey Art Studio is a family-owned studio in San Diego's Liberty Station. We are glad that you have chosen to visit us. Our focus is on acrylic and mixed media artwork that reflects the soul and heart of Southern California. Visitors are welcome to visit our studio or our online shop. Ellen Shorey is my name. I have been painting since I was a child. My passion for painting was turned into a successful business when I signed a lease to my studio EAS Art Studio. Acrylic is my preferred medium for painting. It's easier and safer to use, it dries fast, so I can paint several layers at once. Mixed media like wood and canvas are my preferred mediums. While serving as a Navy WAVE in 1960s, I started drawing and painting. Following my military service, I was a Bon Appetite magazine systems administrator. After that, I showed dogs at dog shows and pursued other interests. But, art has always been a refuge for me. My artistic style would be described as modern abstract. When analyzing my artwork, I find it interesting to hear other people's viewpoints. Different people have different perspectives. Inspiration comes from everywhere. As I stroll down the street, I am often drawn to geometric patterns and natural patterns. The sidewalks, curbs, fences, and cobblestones are all things I am drawn to. For anything that interests me, I take a photo. Later it could become a painting. Sometimes I start a painting "free-spirited" with no direction in mind.

Born and raised in Northeastern China, I am now a teacher. At a young age, I began to learn how to paint and draw. My parents noticed that I was interested in art and enrolled me into local classes to help me learn and improve my painting and drawing skills. I was able to create art using all media while attending the classes. After having studied art in Ukraine, in 2015 I moved to San Francisco Bay Area to continue my education and to share my artwork with students. This became my full-time passion as I grew older. My current studio is in San Jose, and Burlingame also teaches at different schools and studios throughout the Bay Area. Vera Art Studio offers a comfortable and enjoyable environment to create art at any level. This class will teach drawing and painting techniques to students, building a solid foundation for them so that they can create their own art. Learning and practicing art in the studio can help students develop their artistic skills and patience.

Adan studied under his father Jesus Romo since the age of 10 and received a BA degree in Art History at the University of California at Berkeley. He focused on Renaissance sculpture. Adan received the Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar award in 2001, which allowed him to travel to Italy to study under Mirio Viani, a marble artist who worked for Henry Moore and Mitoraj, as well as attend the Academy of Art, Rome. It was a year of transformation for Adan, and upon returning he was accepted at the San Francisco Art Institute to receive an MFA degree in sculpture and installation art. Adan received a number of major commissions from an early age, including artworks for religious and civic institutions as well as memorials to veterans. Adan is not only a public artist, but also Chair of Visual Arts for St. Francis High School, where he teaches art history, digital film, and sculpture.
