Hidden Talent Art Studio

About Hidden Talent Art Studio Jean Skamra and Shana Sundstrom met in 2002 and discovered that they had the same goal of opening an art studio. Their teaching art began in local Private Schools in 2006. Their art studio dream was realized in 2010, for their combined hard work and years. Their art program today has 20 locations and is growing. Jean and Shana have more than 20 years of experience as art instructors, teaching children at schools and art studios. They have also volunteered at the local gallery and managed two children's art classes. Both Jean and Shana have BFAs from Bay Area Universities. Additionally, they are ECE-certified and have over 25 years of displaying their artworks. Our main objective as art instructors is to teach students the fundamentals of fine art and help them hone the skills needed to create traditional art. Kids are inspired to let their creativity thrive, thus bridging self-expression, decision-making, imagination, and self-confidence. They also develop their problem-solving skills and fine motor skills, which are applicable in school. Studies have shown that art enhances all areas of learning.

The art studio receives a lot of positive reviews. Many of the reviews mention a great staff and friendly classes for all ages. Some reviewers mention art classes, the summer art camp and the Art field trip for teenagers. Jackie, 16 years-old, loves the classes because they encourage her to try new art techniques and expand her artistic capabilities.
