About this business
Work of Art Studio is a dynamic, forward-thinking initiative designed to provide people of all skill levels and interests with the opportunity to work together to find their creative voice. Work of Art is excited to kick off the expansion of our four new studios, offering four distinct settings where imaginative people gather to work, play, explore, and connect. Work of Art Studio is a project of Southside Unlimited, a 501c 3 nonprofit that provides adults with developmental disabilities the chance to explore artistic expression, personal growth, and active participation. For more about Southside Unlimited, its efforts and programs to enhance the lives and communities of people with developmental disabilities in Sacramento, go to Southsideunlimited.com
Artistic freedom is explored, created, and nurtured at Work of Art. Our instructors adapt their teaching level to the student's skill level and artistic vision. They use rigorous academic training to demystify the art-making process and break down complex techniques into simple steps. We believe in the artistic potential of each person, and we support and foster the creativity of all artists we meet.
