OUR HISTORY Dick Ives founded Ives Insurance Services and wanted to establish his legacy. His initial position was with a traditional agency. It only sells one product. He saw the necessity of offering varied services as situations do not fit into one product. Dick wanted insurance to be customized for clients without any restrictions. He enjoyed the liberties of the client without limitation. In 1959, he started Ives Insurance Services when he left Point Loma garage. Sharon Ives, Dick's daughter, admired his father’s hard work. She became a part of Ives in 1982. She was a leader and wanted to help more clients. She started commercial insurance in our agency. As one of the leaders, Sharon’s division has grown significantly since 1985. Our agency values creating lasting relationships and being adaptable to meet clients' needs. Our clients have varying requirements, and Ives is committed to creating bespoke insurance packages to meet them. Our organization is San Diego-based, and we have found that our niche is understanding your changing needs. We have learned that our service is not transactional, but we protect your company’s history by responsive all your stories. Since we moved our headquarters to the Ives Garage, we have not deserted our core values, which reflect the complexity of human needs. Since the beginning, our agency has put the customers first. Our long-term relationships characterize Ives’ reputation for precision, responsiveness, and consistency. In 1989, Sharon has owned Ives Insurance six years after her father. The firm has grown as a parent died.
