Geary Dance Center

Geary Dance Center (GDC) was formed by Brooke Byrne & Sonoo H. Petty in 2011. The organization has provided recreational dancers with outstanding dance instruction, professional-quality performance experiences, and the long-term emotional, physical, and educational benefits of dance. Geary Dance Center believes in a nurtured, secure, and accepting atmosphere where dance could equally influence a person's life, whether they are a dancer or a future performer, as well as enthusiastic audiences. Dancers are invited to try out styles and genres that attract them. Passion is the only element necessary. Our classes and services include preschool, Classical FA Dance, Tap Jazz, Hip Hop, and Creative Movement. We also offer Jazz Funk, Musical Theater Jazz Jazz, Funk Jazz Funk, Choreography Character Dance, Modern Dance, and Adult Ballet. Our program for early dance education called FUNdamentals Of Dance is for children aged 2-6. We also provide classes to kids aged 5-18 with a syllabus-driven class and kids aged 11-18 through our Teen Accelerated Program (TAL). GDC offers short summer workshops and camps, as well as adult classes, for children ages 4-7, 8-10, and 11-18.
