We welcome students of all levels and interests, as well as those with disabilities. The curriculum combines the art of dance with science to create a unique and creative experience. All of our highly-qualified and dedicated instructors have had professional experience in dance. They offer a perfect combination of youth, experience, and expertise, as well as being highly trained to help each student grow according to his or her unique abilities and interests. Geary Dance Center, founded by Brooke Byrne & Sonoo H. Petty in 2011, was created to provide recreational dancers with excellent dance instruction, professional-quality performance experiences, and the benefits of long-term emotional, physical, and educational fitness. Geary Dance Center provides a nurturing, safe, and welcoming environment where dance can become a major part of someone's life. This is true whether they are a dancer or aspiring performers, as well as enthusiastic audiences. Dancers are encouraged to explore styles and genres that appeal to them. The only thing required is passion. GDC has classes for preschool, Ballet, Tap Jazz, Hip Hop, and Creative Movement. We also offer Jazz Funk, Musical Theater Jazz Jazz, Funk Jazz Funk, Choreography Character Dance, Modern Dance, and Adult Ballet. Our early dance education program FUNdamentals Of Dance is designed for children ages 2- 6. Monique's adult ballet classes are available for children, young adults, and seniors. You should choose an Introductory/Slow Beginners ballet workshop if you are a complete beginner. The workshop starts with the first steps in ballet. There is no need to feel intimidated. You will be put in the Mix Levels class if you were a dancer before and you want to come back to it after a long time. This is based on your level of fitness and ability.
