I have taken the CISSP bootcamp from Dr. Murray and his team twice now. And no it is not a reflection on his training and knowledge that I didn't pass the CISSP exam on my first attempt. It happens. This is one tough exam to pass even with years of experience and the best of training.
I was able to benefit from Murray Security Services' retake guarantee. That is one benefit from taking training from this organization. The ability to return to continue learning and obtaining additional knowledge to be better prepared for the exam.
During the five days we have spent together with Dr. Murray facilitating the course he interjects personal knowledge and experience in the material so that when he speaks from the book, or we, as students do, his experiences were there to allow myself the ability to better understand the information.
During my first boot cap with Shawn I was overwhelmed by the amount of information being fire hosed to us. In the latest experience with him I was better able to comprehend the material, ask a number of questions which Shawn patiently explained till I grasped the information any fully understood his responses to my questions.
I have attended a number of boot camps for a variety of certifications and his approach has beat all others. Those other camps were predominately the instructor instructing and we were just receivers of the information. This made learning more difficult.
