Feedback:
1. Lighthouse Writers Workshop abruptly cancels classes. (this happened to me twice, and I was so excited for both of them) - I'm continuing on YouTube because of their flakiness and no commitment to the schedule they set.
2. Inclusive, accessible, and incredible instruction and support for writers at every level. The building is spectacular, and the workshops and classes are even better.
3. absolutely life-changing in the best way.
4. not worth the money. very basic, no authentic insight, no constructive feedback.
5. lighthouse rocks and rules.
6. I recently took a 6-hour short story writing class with Sarah Elizabeth Schantz. No desire/intent to become a professional writer but was curious about it.
When I first got into the classroom and looked around, Sarah was panicking about not knowing what room we were supposed to be in and if there were enough seats for everyone. At that point, I thought I was in trouble - but quickly realized she seems to do it all from the bottom of her heart and would not want to miss anything. Sarah knows what writing is and she meticulously planned the whole schedule we followed to the letter, and guess what? It worked great and it was more than I expected. I mean the 10 sentence life story exercise was an eye-opener. We are programmed to count down to something. I am counting down to the next outing that Sarah will be hosting. Thank you, Sarah.
7. Just came for a writing class close to my place and am glad I found lighthouse. They overwhelmed me with their exceptional teachers and diverse range of classes. Kindly speaking, I would take each and every class if I could.
8. this place is a gem. Every teacher is a successful writer and knows how to teach. I have good remarks about all the six teachers I have met, and I don't usually say that about any class. It is a good place for beginners like me and also authors that have not got that breakthrough yet.
9. Lighthouse is breathtaking! These people did not only make me an informed writer but have helped me understand myself better and create a good community around me. I would give a million stars if I could.
10. Amazing classes, even better people!
11. In a world where science and technology is promoted, something that is not bad by the way, one would love to interact with an organization that is focused on writing in all aspects...my children as well as myself have really enjoyed all of the classes that we have taken and we have been given a service that is focused on creating, literacy, and producing literature which is not found in many places - sadly even schools....highly highly recommend
12. Lighthouse is an outstanding organization and in many ways the center of the Denver area writing community. They offer a variety of classes both online and in real life, for beginners and pros and people in between. A wonderful organization.
13. One of the most unique places offering unique writing workshops of all genres and varied lengths. I volunteered for them before taking a class and have been exposed to a lot that they offer to the writing community. I highly recommend checking them out!
14. Inspiring poetry on placards outside hooked me for a half hour
