Feedback from Clients
I would not recommend Ms. Burkey. She came highly recommended by family that had used her many years ago. My case is a very complicated case and requires a lot of time. I explained this to Ms. Burkey on intake and I was under the impression that we were in good hands. This was in June of last year. We are now 10 Months into this case and she has continued my case several times to the point that we have extinguished all of our continues. Due to "illness" and "Medical procedures." Even though I was understanding with this, The day I was supposed to have court, Ms. Burkey called and said that she didn't feel comfortable with it. This is fine. She called several times through the 10 months asking what parenting time the other party had with my children and she is the one who set it up with me. The other party attempted to relinquish rights and she for some reason would not let her do this. Everything someone on her personal life happened she charged my account and depleted it to less than 1000 dollars. Once it got under 1000 dollars she then asked to withdraw with no explanation to me except, "She is not getting anywhere." I have written a formal complaint to the bar in hopes to get something back from this horrible experience. But I would advise that if you know what's best for you seek another console. Catherine will make it more difficult and want you to spend around 10k before she will even take time to work on your case. I'm still unsure as to why she is setting me up for failure, I'm just glad that her firm has the other party's money.
