Ballet Arts Centre

Our faculty is one of the places we pride ourselves the most. BAC is one of Jacksonville's few schools where the entire faculty is college-educated. Our teachers are highly trained and have so much experience in the field of dance. They are truly passionate about dance, and we are privileged to be able to share this passion with your dancer. Sydney graduated from Florida State University with a BFA in Dance. Over three years, she danced in the Dance Repertory Theatre at FSU. She was able to work with Stephen Koester and Alan Danielson. Sydney's choreography Life After This was performed in FSU's Days of Dance Concert Series 2011. She grew up in Jacksonville. Sydney attended LaVilla Middle School of the Arts. She graduated from Douglas Anderson School of the Arts in 2007. She was in the Dance Theatre at Douglas Anderson for three years. Sydney has taught dance since finishing school at FSU. She was the director of dance at Lake Forest Elementary and Douglas Anderson School of the Arts. Sydney was Miss Jacksonville 2013 and Miss Florida Outstanding Teen 2006. She is part of the Miss America Organization. Sydney enjoys choreographing with Jacksonville Dance Theatre and the Braided Light Dance Project. She likes traveling with her husband, who is a pilot, and spending time with their son.
