Scott Jones School of Dance

COVID-19 halted our lessons and performances, but Scott Jones School of Dance continues to provide dance education and performance opportunities. Our performing company, the Scott Jones Dancers, have been serving the city of Jacksonville with the art of dancing since 1986. The Performing Company is composed of four groups—Team A, Team B, Jazz Company, and Hip Hop Company—and 85 dancers. Paige Jones and Scott Jones direct the Performing Company, which travels within the city during the holidays and the summer and fall seasons. The company dancers are invited to perform at several pageants in the area, including the Jacksonville Landing (birthdays to come) and Orange Park Mall, as well as at the Times Union Center for the Performing Arts and various theaters, including the Florida Theater. Our dancers have also performed at a number of public events and parks, such as Wolfson Park and the Dorcas Drake Christmas Party. We were also featured at the historic dedication of Hemming Plaza as well as at City Hall during the holidays. Not only have we been a part of many Gator Bowl half-time shows and parades, but we have also interacted with audiences during these events. Along with Jacksonville Arts Mania, we have been broadcast on television. We have contributed to charitable organizations such as the Children's Miracle Network (WTLV/WFGA TV-12) and 26.2 with Donna (ABC/First Coast News) as well as the American Cancer Society.

The studio is stellar and has received a lot of positive reviews. They say that the owners are amazing, and the teachers are very attentive and are passionate about tickling the students and takes great pride in them. They highly regard the studio because of the quality of shows held and their excellent teaching standards. Prices are labeled as high by a few, but a majority agree on the pricing is said to be fair. In the studio, there are all types of kids and they all study a wide variety of dance styles while being managed by some of the best instructors around. So far, the studio has been in operation for quite some time and continues to help students grow and have fun doing it.
