Southlight Gallery

For 8 years, Southlight has occupied five downtown Jacksonville locations from 3500 square feet to the most recent 6000 sq.ft. All were kept leased full-time, helping DTJax revitalize. With NO vacancies, the Art Core has consumed the building. Our First Floor location at the Wells Fargo Building is absolutely beautiful, but it doesn't allow us to exhibit our members well or offer the many programs and events that Southlight is so good at sponsoring. King Maker Brewery is our ongoing partner in the King Street District. They feature the artworks of our members and juried selections of other area artists there. Over the last 20 years, Southlight Gallery has been exhibiting the work of local artists. We have organized 117 art shows since we acquired UNF ArtSpace. We have done 8 UNF faculty and student exhibitions. We have hosted over 100 performers from the arts of theater, dance, and music at the popular ArtWalk monthly openings. We have also used our venue as a private event space for United Way, St. Johns Riverkeeper, St. Johns Riverkeeper, Duval County Community...
