It all began in 1949 when Joseph Steinberg moved to Florida after Joseph established an Office Furniture Store in Jersey City in 1935. Joseph, a Hoboken native and Frank Sinatra's schoolmate, starts the Decora Steel City Group, an Office Furniture store in Hollywood. Manufacturers and distributors are the biggest Office Furniture product manufacturers. The Marcus family opens a new Miami Airport District Showroom with warehousing and a factory. Four stores in Florida had been running for several years. The Miami Showroom and Factory were sold in 1980. Marcus Office Furniture World opens a new Miami Airport District Showroom including warehousing and a factory. Trivia: Decora Office Furniture of Broward was a part of Corporate Express, now called Staples.
