Miami Dade College Foundation

Miami Dade College was founded in 1960 by Colonel Mitchell Wolfson, who established a vision that involves creating a community by offering educational opportunities for future and current residents of Miami-Dade County. The state of Florida chartered MDC Foundation, a nonprofit institution, in 1965. Since its establishment, the Wolfson family has been a significant supporter of the College and is among its leading supporters presently. The Foundation recognizes the gravity of its role as the custodian of corporate and individual donor contributions. An Investment Committee, consisting of investment experts, ensures the Foundation's underlying assets are effectively managed. Each year, certified public accountants audit our funds.
