American Academy of Art College

The American Academy of Art College, a professional artists' college, was established in 1923. Our American Academy of Art College classes have always emphasized preparing students for careers in art, learning skills, and increasing knowledge as they do challenging projects. The Academy offers six Bachelor of Fine Arts programs: 3-D modeling/animation, Art Direction & Graphic Design; Illustration; Painting with specializations Oil Painting or Watercolor Painting; Photography. The Academy was recognized as a quality institution with quality instruction in many parts of the United States and internationally. The Academy endured difficult times when World War II caused a dramatic drop in enrollment. American Academy of Art and Dress Design was added and the school was able to add veterans returning to the war, in large part to the GI Bill offer.
