About Dana Rebecca Designs
Hi there! My name is Dana (Rebecca) Gordon – and I come from a long line of jewelers. Some say diamonds run in my veins (a joke, guys!). My father was a factory worker who became a jeweler when I was a child. I liked spending time in his shop. When I turned 16, my dad and I went to India, and I came back with my first collection. It sold out within 48 hours – to my surprise and delight. I spent every summer designing and selling my pieces. They say a hobby can become a passion. My intention was never to be like my family; I wanted to go to law school. At the University of Texas at Austin, I pursued a combined degree in business and corporate communications while designing jewelry. After completing my studies, I had a difficult decision to make: follow my love of jewelry or go to law school. My journey began in 2007 when I graduated from the Gemological Institute of America, Carlsbad, California, and Dana Rebecca Designs was born.
