TL:DR - Very compassionate, professional, and friendly. Definitely recommend. 5/5 stars. **************************** I live in MI, but have been staying in Chicago with an elderly relative. When my 16-year old cat took a sudden decline in his health and we made the difficult decision to let him sleep, we had to find a vet here in Chicago who could get us an appointment on a weekend. MedVet not only got us in on a walk in basis, they prioritize end of life incidents, so we were taken back within 5 minutes and a vet tech was with us within 15 minutes from there. Total time from arriving at the center to leaving was just over an hour. The staff was extremely caring and sympathetic. They made my Horus' passing as peaceful as it could possibly be. As hard as it was to part with a loved family member after 16 years, the staff here made it very smooth and dignified. We were offered unlimited time to say goodbye before the procedure and after. (We didn't take it, we were already at peace with the decision, though very much wished we had more time.) Very unexpectedly, we also received a sympathy card from the staff, with a hand-written, personalized, note inside. I have seen all the negative reviews, and truly, I cannot see how they are talking about the same place we were at. All through our visit we were treated professionally, yet with compassion. I was VERY surprised to find that at a 24/7 walk in emergency center. Final analysis - I very much recommend MedVet and thank them profusely for their treatment of us and Horus.
