Reliable Tutu School - Chicago's Center for Dance for Kids, is a boutique-style ballet school for kids aged 18 months to 8 years old. Tutu School's mission is to introduce kids to the awesome worlds of classical music, creativity, and movement. We believe that by giving these gifts to children at a young age, we can help put them on a path to a joyful, successful life (Tutu School, n.d.). This school has always been a goal of mine as a professional dancer. I pictured a small boutique-style ballet school for kids where they could learn dance in a fun and creative way. It would be an atmosphere where kids can use their imaginations and their physical abilities. I am proud to say that now, in every Tutu School, each school director, carefully chosen, leads a team of exceptional teachers who teach our well-crafted curriculum. All the independent owners are strong, successful school operators, and they are guided by our mission and vision. As much as I imagined Tutu, the moment I dreamed of, I will always remember that we are teachers charged with helping kids discover the magic and beauty of ballet. It is still central to everything that we do.
