They soon learned how to service a variety of American, German, Swedish, and Asian car brands. For example, they were factory-trained technicians for Mercedes/Porsche/Audi/Jaguar at AutoWerks of Rockford by the end of the decade. Due to their dedication to the craft, the Phillips brothers became the industry's first technician to be accredited with ASE-certification of Automotive Service Excellence when it was founded.
