This winter, I decided to have drain tile installed in my basement due to standing water from hydrostatic pressure. Mold was something I didn't want! Before that was done, my water heater died on a Friday on a cold evening as the team installed the drain tile in the basement. Kyle came to my home after hours to light the pilot. I called Roto Rooter to check the heater, and they charged me $800 to fix it. The water heater was 13 years old. (The guys at Roto Rooter said my drain tile was fantastic, and the cost was excellent, leaving me satisfied with the job). I needed a new water heater, and Kyle replaced the old one and installed the new one for free. Strangely, my water heater had died, and they fixed it. (Who does that?) K&A does, which is why I recommend them! About a week later, a pipe burst during a cold snap. I was shocked by the water leakage, which looked like hydrostatic water, but it was a pattern. I contacted Kyle, suspecting a problem even before it happened. After understanding the situation, I informed Kyle, and he came to my house at nightfall to reconnect the burst pipe until I could get it fixed. Kyle cut the pipe outside in -3 degrees to reattach the boot. Kyle and the crew did this without charges. I'm incredibly amazed and grateful for preferring K&A Waterproofing. That evening, I called Roto Rooter to check the water heater. The crew informed me that it would cost me $800 to have it fixed. The water heater was old, having served me for 13 years. He even offered to pay half the cost of the water heater, but I refused since it was not his fault. The water heater had died when they were fixing the drain tile. A few minutes later, I received an apology from the plumber since it was a leak from the pipe connection that they had failed to secure. They also apologized for the delay in fixing the pipe. I purchased a house that was repeatedly flooding my mechanics room in my bi-level when it rained hard. I tried everything to no avail. Finally found K&A Waterproofing. Kyle came and assessed the busted foundation under the garage door and said the solution was an interior perimeter drain with a sump pit. It has poured 2 big rains since the system was installed and my garage has stayed dry! The weight lifted off my shoulders is enormous. The crew that came out to do work was very friendly and kept me in the loop of everything they were doing. After they were done, they cleaned up all the debris and I mean, it was spotless! The only thing is I would have liked a post-visit follow-up by Kyle. It wasn’t a big deal. There were a few things that weren’t on his list to do and I found out to late that they are part of the total project.
