MFA Studio & Galleries The Department of Art + Design (now the Hite Institute of Art + Design) offers the Master of Fine Arts in Studio Art and Design with curriculum guidelines from the College Art Association of America and a rigorous evaluation standard. The top-notch program features diverse courses with high-quality, a strong faculty mentorship, and artistic directions varied among learners. The grounds for the Master of Fine Arts in Studio Art Design were set. The curriculum is meticulously structured to meet the requirements of the College Art Association of America from rigorous assessment criteria to diverse and high-quality programs to excellent faculty mentorship. The results were a vibrant community of artists with diverse perspectives, cultural backgrounds, ideological beliefs, and social orientations. Students in this program will have exceptional access to faculty members, who provide one-on-one tutorials, great listening skills and give a direction, thus propelling them to experiment with new artistic possibilities. Students may specialise in ceramics, fibers, or glass arts. Later, they can proceed to painting, photography, or printmaking before combining different media under the supervision of experienced faculty. The program is underpinned on a multidisciplinary philosophy that enables learners to think creatively while exploring their emphasis on cultural, ethical, philosophical and social perspectives (Hite Institute of Art + Design, 2022). The Hite Institute and the department offer a variety of resources for students studying this program. Students will have access to four on-campus art galleries and another in Downtown Louisville to exhibit working. They will also collaborate with local museums and galleries to showcase their articles. The collaboration will ease the students' transition from the classroom to the world of art and will also help them familiarise themselves with other exhibits in Louisville (Hite Institute of Art + Design, 2022). Moreover, students will have a comprehensive schedule of speakers from all over the world, such as renowned curators and gallery directors to offer insights about contemporary art. The University will also partner with local and regional museums to offer students the opportunity to interact with and benefit from the larger arts community. These organisations will have some collaborations and internships programmes with the University to enhance their relationship with the community (Hite Institute of Art + Design, 2022). This will offer graduates from this programme a unique opportunity to be involved in the civic life.
